They begin as small flowering pods attached to sturdy green stalks. As the fruit matures, the flowers shed, revealing a distinctive surface covered in tough, cone-shaped bumps. When fully grown, a single jackfruit can reach up to 80 cm in length and 50 cm in width, making it a true giant among fruits.
